After studying at Wimbledon School of Art, in 1986 Robin Woolgar moved up to Warwick to have a break from the city life. After taking a craft unit at
Hatton Country World, Woolgar's Toys was created.
Initially manufacturing all the toys he sold he soon crept into the world of retailing, and hasn't looked back. With Hatton remaining the main
shop and with the help of some wonderful staff, Trish & Ali in the early days, sales outlets started to appear at the Merry Hill Centre in Birmingham, The Royal Priors in Leamington Spa and shops
in Lutterworth and the Willows centre near St Albans.
But design is the stuff that Robin enjoys doing so this site was created.
Now all our trade is done on-line and it's great fun! (No more
hoovering shop carpets every morning. Wow.)
All the way along we have had a very simple policy, to sell great quality traditional toys at great prices in an environment that is fun.
